Has May been mayhem or magic do you feel? As the sunnier days extended have you experienced more relaxation or felt bursting to capacity? 

When life appears to suddenly have ramped up or just continued at an overwhelming rate, it is even more important to press the pause button before divine intervention assists with a big STOP. 

Consistent rest and relaxation builds a solid foundation and is an active choice for a harmonious and balanced life, benefiting the whole family.

As a parent we set the tone, and leading our family through showing them what it looks like to nurture and care for ourselves is a priority.

It is only when we are in this place, connected to our True Self, that we can experience peace, and this is not something we must earn or save until some illusionary future date.

The greatest gift we can give our children is simply being with them, in peace, joy, laughter and love. 

Being present
And so to begin, by being with ourselves first we must get present. In the Now. This is the beautiful place of no past, no future, just right now. It is here that we find presence, where we can create, connect, give and receive- truly.

When we pause — and feel our own breath, our own heartbeat, our own vibration … something softens. The rushing fades. We realise there’s nothing to fix. Nothing is wrong. There’s nowhere we need to get to. This moment is whole.

Our children are an extension of love itself — not ours to mould or control, but to witness, guide, and learn from. They are their own people, full of mystery, magic, and on their own path. When we meet ourselves with compassion and presence, we’re able to meet them that way too.

And the deeper we come into presence, the more we reconnect with Truth — the still, strong voice within that tells us what really matters. Truth isn’t loud or dramatic. It’s often quiet, simple, and wildly liberating. It reminds us that we’re allowed to honour our needs. To speak with honesty. To parent from alignment rather than expectation.

Living in truth means letting go of the illusion and simply allowing. A recalibration to the path of ease and flow.

Letting go of the full diary, the constant doing, the “shoulds” that crowd our days. When we clear space — physically and energetically — we make room for what’s truly aligned with who we really are, not just the roles we play. It’s safe to release the old, even when it’s familiar. The new — what’s truly right for you — can only emerge in that sacred space.

This is how we lead. Not by striving, but by being. When our children see us honouring our own truth, making space for joy, and choosing peace over pressure, they learn to do the same.

Try these gentle reminders this month:

  • Start your day with silence: Ten minutes before the house wakes up can centre you. Hands on heart. Breathe. You’re here. That’s enough. Then set your intention to Peace. Give yourself a hug.
  • Declutter your diary: Say no to whatever doesn’t light you up or that you feel obligated to, watch what opens up. Allow the blank space to be there.
  • Slow down transitions: School runs, mealtimes, bedtimes — soften the edges with a deep breath and a gentle touch. Savour and notice the new.
  • Amplify elevated emotions: Speak feelings like gratitude, wonder, peace or love out loud. Let your children hear you celebrate how good life is, how it feels to be calm, connected or inspired. It helps them tune into those feelings too.
  • Gentle communication: Whether it’s taking a rest, or changing your mind about something, let truth lead with softness. Your children will embrace compassion, openness and confidence.
  • Create moments of undivided attention: In the blank space simply allow everyone to be, meet your child’s eyes, and let them lead. Just 10 minutes of pure presence can shift everything.
  • Remind yourself often: There’s nowhere to be but here. You are enough. You are love, limitlessness and light. Use a Kundalini practice like the Spinal Twist (see video) for 5 mins to transition your energy from fear to love and enjoy!

As Vitality Editor, I thought I’d explore and share more on the topic, in ways I hope inspires aligned change and peace, something different that truly helps. 

Vitality is about coming home. And when I say that, I mean coming back to yourself, your body, your breath. Back to Now, the eternal present moment, which is all we have, and all we need. 

Home to the essence of who you are beneath the noise, the roles, the expectations.

As mothers, as women, as souls — we hold ancient wisdom.

Not the kind that shouts to be heard, but the kind that knows.

The quiet, sacred knowing that says: Your gentleness is power. Your softness is strength. Your presence is healing.

Life is ultimately a quick joy ride. We are here to return, allow, share, remember. We are here to anchor in truth, dance to our rhythm and celebrate the beauty of your true Self.

Joy is who you are! Stillness is your centre where you can hear the heart voice. And movement is your body remembering who she is.

1. Move Your Body Freely — Intuitively — Without Rules

This is not about how it looks. It’s about how it feels.

Let your body lead. Sway, stretch, spiral, stomp.

Let your hips guide you. Let your arms open. Let your spine flow like water.

Dance in your kitchen. Breathe in rhythm. Trust your body’s wisdom — she knows how to shift energy, release emotion, and awaken joy.

This is not exercise — it’s embodiment. It’s remembering that your body is holy.


2. Sound as Sacred Expression

Use your voice. Hum, sing, sigh, chant.

Sound vibrates through your cells and clears stagnant energy.

Try “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo” — I bow to the Infinite Wisdom within.

Let your voice move like your body — freely, intuitively, unedited.

3. Stillness of Mind in the Midst of the World

True peace isn’t found in silence — it’s found in presence.

Close your eyes and breathe, visualise a beautiful flower blossoming or the soft waves of the shore.

There is a sacred stillness within you — a portal to something far greater than this moment.

4. Mantras to Return to Truth

Speak sacred words: “I am whole.” “I remember who I am.” “I am the Light.”

Chant “Sat Nam” — Truth is my identity. Let it rise from your belly to your lips.

These words aren’t just affirmations. They’re codes. They awaken you.

5. Joy as Daily Devotion

Joy is not extra. It is who you are. A deep knowing.

Ask: What would feel good today? What would bring me alive?

Follow the yes! Light a candle. Make something beautiful. Laugh. Dance. Be in nature. Hug.

This is a remembering.

A return to the sacred feminine — to the natural rhythm, the wild voice, the soft strength, the knowing touch.

It’s a return to the truth that you are not the body, you are a soul.

A light between worlds. A bridge between heaven and earth.

Wholeness isn’t something to chase. It’s who you are beneath the noise.

Feel the True Self as the layers dissolve to reveal your perfection.

Fully. Honestly. Freely.

Try this: Before important meetings or creative sessions, listen to 432 Hz or 528 Hz frequency music to shift into a state of flow. (Ask for my playlist). If you have a singing bowl or any instrument you like to play, use it to clear stagnant energy before starting work.

You can also play healing sounds in the background while writing, brainstorming, or handling daily tasks to stay in a high-energy, focused state.

3. Tarot for Business Insight and Intuition
