Fun, affordable performing arts classes with Presto!

Presto! Performing Arts School encourages children to stretch their imaginations and boosts their confidence with fun and affordable dance, singing and drama tuition by industry professionals.

Offering classes in performing arts, tap and ballet, Presto! Performing Arts runs weekly tuition by industry professionals each term for all children aged 4-16 with an emphasis on fun and affordability.

"There's nothing better than watching a child’s confidence grow in front of you,” says Presto!’s Principal Rhiannon Ray, who was able to pursue her dream of opening her own performing arts school in 2012.

With over nine years experience in teaching musical theatre to young children, including being a qualified Early Stages teacher at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, Rhiannon says her aim at Presto! is "to ensure every child stretches their imagination and builds confidence each week."

Entrepreneur of the year
As well as being Presto!'s Principal, Rhiannon is a trained LAMDA and Street Dance exam teacher and also teaches Presto!’s Primary classes and Main School Drama. Rhiannon was highly commended as 'Entrepeneur of the Year' at the 2015 Sutton Business Awards.

“I always knew I wanted a career in performing arts,” explains Rhiannon who attended a local performing arts school. After completing her A-levels, Rhiannon embarked on a foundation degree in musical theatre at the Arts Educational School London. Rhiannon went on to graduate in Musical Theatre from the Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford. During this time Rhiannon also took her ATCL exam in Teaching Musical Theatre and was awarded a distinction.

“I am delighted how our school has grown,” says Rhiannon. “ We now offer ballet and tap classes, following the RAD syllabus, on Fridays. We also run an agency for our children to audition for film, TV and stage productions, with one of our students appearing on the Cartoon Network this summer.

Free open days and trial classes
"We always welcome children to join us at Presto!” says Rhiannon. "We perform live at local  events and hold free open days on a regular basis but we believe the best way for new children to see what Presto! is about is to attend one of our regular classes.

So if you have a child aged 4-16 why not take them along for a free trial? "Children coming for a free trial will join in with a regular Presto! class suited to their age, make new friends and learn new skills that will help them in the future,” says Rhiannon.
